Cranleigh Film Club is a community-based club with a limited membership- We aim to provide a balanced programme of distinctive films from around the world. Films are chosen by members directly and indirectly through a sub-committee. Our programme complements but is separate from the mainstream programme of films shown at the Cranleigh Arts Centre
- The club has a sociable atmosphere with refreshments on sale before the film
- The club is a member of the British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS) which trades as Cinema for All
- Our season runs from September to June
- Our films are shown in the Bandroom in Cranleigh, GU6 8AF
- Our films are screened on the last Thursday in each month
- A preview and critique of each film is provided to members before screenings. Members may rate the films afterwards and the results are published
- Attendance at our screenings is usually about 40 members and guests
- The club supports a DVD library to enable members to borrow films that they have missed or wish to see again
- The club sponsors community events relating to the medium of film
- Doors open at 7pm with the film screened from 7.30pm
